What is the Vision Board?
The Vision Board is an open visual space where you can explore what matters most to you. Add images, words, and ideas; arrange them freely, revisit them often, and let clarity emerge over time.
There’s no structure to follow. Just a space to think, create, and reflect.

The Vision Board process is a nice way to pause and reflect on the previous year and all of the good that came of it. When you can look back and notice that you’ve achieved, worked on or kept to the promises you set a year ago it is very rewarding. Being able to understand what is important looking forward it really helpful for being deliberate and intentional with your actions.Â
— Tommy Jarrod
I find completing the vision board process each year both deeply reflective and energising. It creates the space to look in the rear-view mirror with pride at the direction I’ve been heading, while also intentionally reshaping and redirecting my future state. It’s a process I genuinely look forward to each year, as it brings both clarity and renewed momentum towards my future vision.
— Michael Dawson
Creating a vision board has been a powerful and rewarding experience. It gave me the space to slow down and reflect on what matters most. The process forced me to clarify my values and goals, then bring them to life visually in a way that felt tangible and motivating. Having that clear picture has made decision-making and future planning more consistent, and provides a reference point for the direction I want to move in. Beyond the personal benefits, I also found the experience inspiring by encouraging others to reflect on their own goals and create a vision for themselves.
— Lachlan Stanton
I’ve designed 9 vision boards across the last 9 years. Over the first 5 years my board changed quite considerably as I sought to crystallise the values I stood for and pillars of support I need to surround me. Over the following 4 years, my board has been relatively consistent and reflects who I am, who I need support from (and equally who I need to suppprt) and the goals I want to achieve, both short and long-term. Seeing my board each day helps re-connect me to what is important when life happens!Â

the evidence
Love science? Don't worry so do we!
A vision board isn’t just inspiring, it’s supported by research in psychology, behavioral science, and performance studies:
Imagery improves athletic, academic, and work performance.
Process visualization enhanced study habits and exam scores vs. outcome-only visualization
Positive imagery training boosted optimism and mood in older adults.
RCT: visualization training yielded fivefold greater weight loss than counseling alone.
Vision board intervention increased under-served students’ self-efficacy and clarified goals.
Behavioral science study on entrepreneurs: visualization training improved business revenues and goal imagery ability.
A visual space to think in images, explore what matters, and shape what comes next at your own pace.
